MicroPro Sienna Treated Wood is pressure treated with MicroPro Micronized Copper Azole (MCA) to prevent fungal degradation and termite infestation. Copper, which has long been acknowledged as a good wood preservative, is the major element in the preservative system. MicroPro Sienna protects wood exposed to the elements by combining micronized copper with micronized tebuconazole.
When dealing with
MicroPro Sienna or any other treated wood product, use the following safe practices: Never burn treated wood. When cutting or sanding wood, use a dust mask and goggles. When working with wood, wear gloves. Some preservatives and/or pigment colors from treated wood may move into soil, water, or other surfaces such as concrete goods. When it comes into touch with skin, it may detach from the treated wood surface. Wash any exposed skin thoroughly. After construction, all sawdust and building debris should be cleaned up and disposed of. Work clothes should be washed separately from other household garments before being reused. Except for situations involving incidental contact, such as freshwater docks and bridges, treated wood should not be utilized where it may come into direct or indirect contact with drinking water. Do not use treated wood in situations where the preservative could end up in food, animal feed, or beehives. Avoid using treated wood as mulch. Only use treated wood that is visibly clean and free of surface residue. If the wood is to be used inside and gets wet during construction, it should be allowed to dry before being covered or enclosed. Building codes and ordinances governing construction in your area should be followed in the design and installation of projects. Users must follow local, provincial, and federal requirements when disposing of treated wood wastes and cutoffs. Use wood preservatives with caution. Before using any product, always read the label and product information.
