As a busy building supply center in Gravenhurst, we take pride in providing quality products and outstanding customer service. We are currently looking for a dependable, hardworking, and positive team player to join our team as a DZ Truck Driver / Yard Staff Member.

This position involves a combination of customer service, yard work, material handling, and deliveries. Duties include loading and unloading customer vehicles, company delivery trucks, and vendor transports, as well as maintaining organized and accurate yard inventory. Heavy lifting is required, including products such as shingles, drywall, and concrete bags.

A basic knowledge of building materials is considered an asset. Lift truck experience is beneficial but not required.



Schedule

Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in locating products and loading/unloading vehicles

• Deliver customer orders using company delivery trucks Safely operate saws and equipment in the cut shop

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, cut shop, and special-order areas

• Develop knowledge of building materials, including lumber grades, dimensions, and species

• Follow proper material handling and workplace safety procedures

• Work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Valid DZ driver’s licence

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labour

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude Reliable and punctual

• Forklift experience is an asset, but training can be provided

Heavy lifting is required, including products such as shingles, drywall, and bags of concrete.A basic knowledge of building materials is considered an asset.

Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• Unload transport trucks and organize incoming inventory

• Develop knowledge of products stocked in the store and yard

• Use proper material handling techniques to minimize damage and ensure safety

• Learn lumber grades, dimensions, and species carried in the yard

• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements
